At the Beach on Saturday for some fun in the sun. My little sister, who’s not really little she’s actually a grown up now invited me to an event that her company was participating in, the Swithchfoot Bro-Am which is an annual event put on by Switchfoot to benefit Standing up for Kids http://www.standupforkids.org, a national nonprofit volunteer outreach organization that started right here in San Diego and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of at-risk, homeless, and street kids.
It was a perfect day with perfect weather for a surf contest with included riders representing O’Neill, Billabong, Transworld Surf just to name a few. The event also included a free concert on the beach with performances by Tristan Prettyman, Timmy Curran, The New Archaic, The Howls, Indivision, Jane Carrey Band and Switchfoot’s Jon Foreman and friends all in the name of a wonderful San Diego charity.
There were plenty of vendors representing at the event including Macbeth, http://macbeth.com which is the company my sister works for that offers a sick line of music inspired footwear and Apparel products.
All in all, this was a beautiful day that I got to enjoy with my family. Lovin’ Life! Check out some of the photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/rhondaonthecoast/page1/
